Speaker volume fades in and out, but it certainly is loud ... which was why I purchased the phone. Instructions could definitely be better written.System works great and has several valuable functions.I was not sent what is pictured here! I was sent an extension handset. Apparently the picture is wrong & description was not clear.It''s still pretty new and early to say but it's an improvement by far and I love it! I'm hearing my callers and messages very clearly. I don't know if it's because it's new to me but sometimes when I hear my phone ring (nice and loud) and press the answer button, it continues to ring and I keep pressing until eventually when it seems to go into answering machine, I finally get through and am able to receive my call. But all in all, I really do like this phone. The price was very good and the delivery fast.I have bought clarity phones before. 2 sets, not from here though. Never was disappointed before. Anyways the quality of this one is terrible. I was very disappointed. I do not have hearing problems but both my parents do and therefore the reason for this purchase. The sound is hardly amplified and if you are not careful, you hang up on the caller because the design easily interferes with the end call button.Do not buy. Bluetooth is unstable. You are better off with a Panasonic brand any day. Don't waste your money, you will only send it back.Price/qualityI've been having trouble hearing people talking on the phone for years, even with hearing aids. This phone works great on my landline and on my cell phone.
