I recently purchased this product for a new home office setup in San Francisco. I'm very technical, and was looking to completely replace PTSN (normal telephone lines) with a completely IP based solution for home phone. I've used a traditional IP phone adapter from PhonePower, and wanted to see if using a direct IP solution was better.I can tell you that I can't be happier with this phone and its performance. I'm using it with the PhonePower carrier and everything was easy to setup and works perfectly - I can check voicemail, see new voicemail notifications, and with the BT-40 adapter can connect my bluetooth headset directly into the phone for wireless operation.I also purchased the W52 for my home phone, and the great thing about the T-46G is that it allows you to have multiple IP lines - so I can use it for both my home phone and personal office line - no need to have two phones at once, or run additional wiring, etc. The screen on the T-46G is bright, lcear and the buttons are easy to use and operate. One note: the POE works great, but no adapter and no hardwired power source for this phone is included. You'll need to buy a POE adapter if you don't have a POE switch.All-in-all, this is a fantastic product if you are looking for a professional office phone with great performance. The YeaLink T46G is a good Chinese phone, but all phones are made in China now a days anyway, right? This SIP or VoIp phone is good for home, and I guess for businesses as well. For the CEO's desk I will pick a complete different phone. It does not look solid, in my opinion looks kind of cheap, kind of flimsy phone. Not a touched screen phone. Its supposes to be a HD sound phone, I dont think that is the case. Sound is not that great.Pros:Changeable wallpaperThe TRANSFER works very well, blind and attended. When on HOLD, you get all kind of notification.Easy to navigate Web interface.Cons:Screen cannot be tilted. Not really a great sound. No impressed with the quality. That "Ultra Elegant" does not apply to this phone. There are way much better and elegant phones out there.Overall a good phone I guess. We must have received a bad batch of these phones. The first 14 that we ordered had problems with the buttons. You have to push very hard on some of the buttons get a response from the phone. The next batch of 16 that we ordered didn't seem to have this problem. I'm going to see if I can get some out of that first batch replaced. The phone is otherwise very functional and affordable for an IP phone. I hope Yealink can address some of the quality issues. If it weren't for that, this would be a 4-5 star phone. Its an awesome phone, but the voice quality is poor through the receiver. Google this part number and audio quality and you will see the frustration internet wide. There is too much bass energy. Nobody sounds like themselves and they can be difficult to understand. This is not a VOIP issue and is not a specific problem for all of YeaLink... it is just this unit. In fact, you can plug the handset into the headset port and see what it *should* sound like... but nobody wants to hit the headset button every time they make a call.Love the built-in support for OpenVPN -- this enabled me to move from a bunch of remote Polycom phones (using dd-wrt routers to provide the VPN connectivity back to the server) to a single-piece plug-and-play solution. Read the manual for the VPN setup, it requires that the files be put into a tar file before uploading to the phone. I recommend not using compression in your VPN for the lowest latency. The color screen is great, allowing me to brand the phone for the company that it's used for. While the speakerphone isn't quite as good as the (long since discontinued) Polycom 501 phones I've used for years, the price is far better.Seems to be built well, and good sound quality. Was absolutely trivial to configure - had it working with my freepbx server in 5 minutes. My only nit was that the unit rocks slightly due to the rubber pad under the right front being slightly too thin. I doubled over a small square of cardboard and taped it over the rubber pad. No more rocking. The lack of aesthetics doesn't bother me, since the shim is not visible. The fact that I already had a small PoE switch to service it makes the PoE support a bonus.I purchased a Polycom VVX 410 a while back which I quickly returned. Rarely am I this impressed. This phone is very sturdy and solid feeling. The call quality thus far has been crystal clear, and the functionality of the phone is top notch. Being able to add callers to contacts, blocked lists...The speaker phone works great, the setup was a little process, but had it running in probably a matter of 10 min, just not very much help from my actual VOIP service provider since it's not on their preferred phone list and I didn't buy it through them. This phone is Great! This phone is great value but I had a difficult time getting it to work using telephone headset.Great handset, clear, easy to use and have now bought several.fantastic phonesExcellent Phones!Easy to set up, superb call quality and full support for my asterisk PBX. Did a manual setup on each of these phones as my system is on the smaller size and had the first one up and running in less than 10 minutes, with BLF for all my extensions.Great, I had a bit of a hunt for a power supply but other than that it's working great. Here's the power supply I ended up with.http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00DHRSMBW/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1Telefon eignet sich ausgezeichnet für die Anwendung bei N-Fon.
